THE PHOENIX

                                      THE PHOENIX

”In the garden of paradise
Beneath the tree of knowledge,
Bloomed a rose bush.
Here, in the first rose, a bird was born.
Her flight was like the flashing of light,
Her plumage was beauteous,
And her song ravishing."
SYMBOLISM OF MONUMENT:
The phoenix symbolizes the resurrection of her strength that arises when we spell the name Selvi. J.Jayalalitha which also reflection of inner self and personality of fighting back as the Tamil quote says,
"ETHANAI MURAI VEEZHNDHAENO, ATHANAI MURAIYUM EZHUVAEN!"
The majestic wings of the phoenix are portrayed in such a way that the phoenix is about to take off into her next journey and also acts as a protective cover for the people who came in search of her like a mother , which is also metaphor to her very famous saying,

                                “MAKKALAL NAAN, MAKKALUKAGAVAE NAAN!”
