nano house ,a contemporary house in 15 feet by 48 feet site,saidapet,chennai

this nano house is located in a very narrow lane 10 feet wide at saidapet... the client mr chinnadurai is a young civil engineer with a wife ,kid and widowed mother.

he wanted the house in an architectural manner. Although is a civil engineer, he strongly believes that only architects can provide contemporary architectural solutions . He had engaged us professionally to design this house in 15 x 48 feet site.. he wanted three bed rooms ,living,dining,kitchen,car and scooter parking, balconies for all three bed rooms and a terrace garden..
although the colour scheme is little loud [ done as per his liking] ... we would like to modify some colours, which will be done in the due course of time

we have satisfied all his needs. he is living comfortably in his new home. we are extremely happy that we had taken up this challenge and made all the users very happy.........this NANO HOUSE is a mile stone in our practice...it tested our design skills,structural systems,spatial concepts,patience to deal with all the site problems and issues.... mr chinna durai was extremely co operative and caring.. he gave tremendous freedom...

after seeing this house ,his friend mr selvam has approached us to design his home in 23 feet by 90 feet ,narrow site in paddapi,a small village near chennai.... we finalised the design, foundation is completed...

when the sri lankan,indonasian,japanese architects design in very narrow sites , why not we??????????

money is not every thing........ friends let us enjoy the creative,design process and fulfill our moral obligation to our place,tamilnadu///
