dr shanthi wanted to live in a peaceful and quiet place in the busy,crowded and environmentally abused industrial town ,tirupur,near coimbatore in tamilnadu.she along with her sister chosen two properties in a gated community for middle income group.
she wanted a house which will take care of her family needs and accomodate her parents and in laws when they become very aged.
this multi courtyard will cater to shanthi gopu,dr gopu and their teen aged son.
it hhas two bed rooms at the ground level for the elderly people and two bed rooms for the younger gen.
puja is placed in the courtyard to have a unique experience every day.
courts are provided at the first floor level too.
it is nearing completion. the landscape and finishing works being done.
natural materials like kota,jaisalmer ,yellow marble, rough granites like satherly grey,cera greysindori red flammed granite,blue pearl and australian white marble etc have been used.
security aspects has been given importance . provision for security arrangements at all the entry areas ,terrace and rear have been worked out.compound walls have been made high . but they have been made interesting by the interesting play of geometry.
seater and garden in first floor level.kota walls and granite seaters for easy maintenace. it can b used for every day morning paper reading,coffee drinking , evening,night chats, etc
